Taylormade t5 driver
I have my new R15 parked and am going back to my trusty R5. The heavier head makes it easier to get in the groove at impact and hammer through the ball.
Been using this since inception and every year I tell myself it's time for a new driver. Then I test out the new crop, this year, TM's M2 driver, and the latest Ping model and frankly none of them feel as sweet, forgiving and strong in my hands as the trusty old R5. If you get a chance, you can now buy one for pennies it is about 12 years old now. I say make the move - a fantastic driver, good length, good looks and great value - equal to anything new you pay big bucks for today.
Been using this more and I am hitting it at around to I thought the newer drivers of TaylorMade are far better but this R5 can still do the job on any golf course out there. This is a better forgiving driver than the Titleist drivers or any other drivers out there. I like the M2 but the prices are a bit stiff for now so i will keep using this R5 till it breaks.
Decent club that gets the ball out there. Flight was a bit high for my liking and seemed to make the ball hang at the end of its flight. Sits well behind the ball and does give you a lot of confidence but just not for me. I was pleasantly suprised by the TaylorMade R5 Dual driver. Having used TaylorMade's all my life I thought this was another high handicapper driver, but I think everyone can use the new R5 Dual driver.
It looked great and sent the ball off on a great trajectory and you could hit it high and low. It's got the maximum allowable head size so it gives you lots of confidence and at much less than the TaylorMade R7 Quad driver, I think this is a better buy.
