Windows mail problems vista
CloseWindows MainApp. Wait MainApp. MsgCount - 1. Any input will be appreciated, Thanks! Tamar E. Granor wrote: The question you need to ask and I don't know the answer is whether Windows Mail is an Automation server.
I won't be surprised if it's not because it's a successor to Outlook Express, which has never been an automation server. Hi Tamar, I am not sure what automation server is but I do know the program works fine with Outlook Express. Phil Brammer wrote: Do you have Windows Mail set up to be the default mail handler?
Also, Windows Mail by default prevents the sending of messages programmatically. Hi Phil, yes, the WIndows Mail has been set to default. And the sending mechanism is working properly. Are you using some third party tool to get e-mails? I am taking over this project from another guy who can't figure it out and quitted. I simply don't understand how hers can work and mine has stopped. Also, sometimes the Inbox shows I have messages and other times it shows none, although the Local Folders on the left side of the screen shows they are still present. I have imported old messages from my previous PC that used Outlook Express 6 for both my wife and myself and they show in the Imported Folders.
I use McAfee virus protection and am wondering if this could be the cause of the problem, although why it should work fine for my wife and not for me is a mystery. If anyone know of a solution I'd be pleased to hear it because this problem has got me stumped. I had similar problem, plus my inbox list of messages showed "Windows could not read this folder". Also every time I started the Windows mail program it showed it was importing messages. There was this box with an "M" in it, so I realized it was the McAfee security program - which is free for 3 months.
Anyway I removed the McAfee security program and it ended all these problems. I fixed one problem of sending mail by downloading the 'Windows Mail Beta. I have found if you send and receive each mail box individually it works fine. Sign in. United States English. Ask a question. Quick access. Search related threads. Remove From My Forums. Seems to be happening about once a month and can last anywhere from an hour to 24 hours with emails sitting in outboxes and slowly getting filtered through eventually, like there is some kind of bottleneck? And then all at once, it frees up.
